Happy Black Friday everyone! While the rest of the world is out shopping for deals, we're doing the same thing here at the North Pole - but on a much larger scale! Today marks our biggest supply order day of the year.
This morning at 5 AM sharp, I coordinated with our suppliers around the globe to secure materials for the final Christmas push. We're talking about 2.3 million pounds of sustainable wood, 4.7 million yards of fabric in every color imaginable, 847,000 gallons of non-toxic paint, and enough glitter to make the Aurora Borealis jealous! The best part? We negotiated a 35% discount on recycled materials - Santa was thrilled!
The workshop expansion is right on schedule. We just added three new production lines dedicated to tech toys (coding robots and tablets are HUGE this year), and our traditional toy section got a major upgrade. The wooden rocking horses coming off the line are absolute works of art!
We're exactly 27 days away from Christmas, and the energy here is electric! The elves are working in three shifts around the clock. I just checked our production metrics - we're at 687 million toys completed with 1.2 billion to go. Right on target! The wrapping paper arrived this afternoon - 47 different festive patterns including a new one with dancing reindeer that I'm personally obsessed with.
Tonight we're celebrating with a North Pole potluck. Mrs. Claus is making her famous peppermint hot chocolate, and I've heard rumors of snickerdoodles the size of dinner plates. After all that shopping coordination, I've earned it! Back to work tomorrow - those toys won't build themselves!
